If you started BSc In computer science or related in Bangladesh
1. Lean C++/Python
2. Solve 200-300 problems on the URI online judge platform
1. Solve coding challenges on these 3 platforms, Codeforces, Codechef, and Atcoder, aiming to complete at least 500 problems.
2. Actively participate in all programming contests within your skill level on Codeforces, Atcoder, and Codechef.
1. Decide whether you lean more towards competitive programming (CP) or software development.
2. If CP is your passion, engage in offline and online programming contests like NCPC, ICPC, and others to gain experience and shape your path.
3. If software development aligns with your goals, start exploring frameworks and technologies within the field
4. Contribute to open-source projects, do #hacktoberfest
1. For CP enthusiasts, aim to achieve a notable rank like #blue or higher on Codeforces, and continue participating in major contests in Bangladesh such as NCPC/ICPC
2. For open-source contributors, seize the opportunity to be accepted into prestigious programs like Google Summer of Code, Linux Foundation mentorship, or Major League Hacking mentorship, which can provide invaluable experiences. It’s easy and has huge scope to gain real-world experience. Indian students are doing it like crazy!!
This roadmap is based on my personal opinion after gaining 4+ years of experience in the software industry. Remember, there are various routes to success. I just wanted to share something that is simpler and feasible for the majority of the students.
Wishing you the best of luck on your journey
